The world is round, so wide and only
those who has ability (knowledge, "navigation system", fund), courage
and luck will see the entire of the world, You Will. There are so many people
that we do not know previously, so many civilizations that differ with ours and
so many systems that we have to learn to be accepted within them. That's all
what I call as adventure. Only those who willing to go far away from
home will find and feel the ecstasy when he or she step on the way to home with
new experiences, insight and knowledge from other world. That was why I prefer
to work at Huawei tech. investment rather than in PT Telekomunikasi Seluler
Indonesia (Telkomsel).
Although I work at International
Chinese-Company I still feel work for Indonesia people. At Huawei I work
for Indonesian Telecommunication project, our customers are Indonesia's
telecommunication operator companies. If my works good, the products we deliver
are good, the systems we build are good then our customer namely Indonesia's
telecommunication operator companies gain advantages on their investment, there
will be no re-planning, re-work, or event more system to be installed or set up
to replace the bad work or system that we build. It is also mean that there
will be no scrap, defect is reduced that lead to efficiency and lower cost. At
the end, the end customer (Indonesian people who use mobile phone or wireless
data communication) will get the benefit of lower price. Sound so theoretically
true isn't it?
Malaysia bukanlah negara yang ingin ku
kunjungi sebenarnya, apa lagi di level pemuda Indonesia
dan Malaysia
terjadi perang dingin. Jadi tidak ada rasa gembira yang lebih. Segalanya biasa
saja. Rasanya seperti ketika Si Yu BO, Penyeliaku (Supervisor), menyuruh aku: “Ismail
you go to Yogyakarta!” atau “Tomorrow you go to Bandung” dll.
Persiapan, gak
ada. Bahkan jum’at kemarin aku baru pulang dari Bandung. Yach.. pokoknya kayak
pergi deket-deket aja.
Kesan pertama
tentunya apa yang kita lihat di Bandara. Malaysia memiliki bandara yang lumayan
modern, dengan arsitektur yang kontemporer, seperti Thailand, seperti juga
Singapore. Sukarno Hata, menurutku, perlu dirombak habis – habisan. Biasanya
kesan pertama mempengaruhi penilaian seseorang terhadap sesuatu, begitu juga
dengan bandara, mencitrakan bangsa.
KL, tidak lebih
megah dibanding Jakarta. Kalau kita keliling Jakarta Pusat (Bener-bener
Keliling) kita akan menemukan tempat-tempat yang gak kalah hebat dan mempesona
seperti di Singapore: Senayan City, Indonesia Stock Exchange, Ritz Carlton,
Plasa Semanggi, Plasa BII, BI, Taman Angrek, HI, JW Mariot, Kuningan, Rasuna
dll. Bedanya adalah, kita negara NKRI yang belum bisa terintegrasi. Maksudku,
segala sesuatu berjalan dengan planing sendiri-sendiri. Kayaknya memang susah,
aku sendiri besar di rumah yang tidak mempedulikan estetika. Pragmatis.
Di Malaysia dan
Singapore segalanya tertata dengan baik, terencana dan teratur, Bersih. Di sini
aku tidak (Belum: Pasti ada juga) menemukan kesemrawutan seperti yang ada di
Jakarta.
Terlepas dari rasa
gembira yang kurang, aku tetap bersyukur karena tinggal di hotel yang lumayan wow..
bintang 5!!!. Training
center tepat didepan hotel. Kelas dimulai jam 9.30 (Adzan Subuh jam >6)
berakhir jam 18.00 (Isyak jam >20.00). Jadi rasanya memang berlibur.
Masalah yang harus di temukan
solusinya adalah Laundry dan Makan. Kami semalam sempat muter – muter, tapi gak
menemukan 2 tempat itu. Laundry di hotel sangat – sangat mahal. Satu potong
kemeja saja ongkosnya 10 ringgit (RM 1= Rp 3000an), Makan di Hotel RM
20an. Aduh… capek dehhh…..
